Yes.  Information must be updated when you apply for admission into any new program at TCC to verify that the information you provided before is still current.

Yes, unless you have successfully completed college level English and Math.

TABE or CPT results are good for a 2 year period. If you have not taken college level English and Math and it has been more than 2 years since your last TABE test then the answer is YES.

Out of state tuition is set by the state at about 3 times the rate for in-state tuition. Contact the coordinator listed on the course announcement for exact amounts.

The state of Florida will not allow you to hold a certification if you have been convicted of a felony or a misdemeanor directly related to the position you are applying for. If you are not sure if you qualify, you may call the Bureau of Fire Standards and Training at 352-369-2800.

Different fire departments have different requirements so you must contact the department you are interested in. Many local departments now require that you be a minimum of Fire Fighter and EMT before they will employ you.

Students are engaged in physical activities to develop their cardiovascular capabilities and strenth, as well as activities required of firefighters, such as lifting and carrying as well as raising ground ladders, using heavy equipment to perform forcible entry, directing fire hose streams, and other tasks.
